- In the morning after breakfast we discovered we both had flat tires, so we had a slow start. Not even an hour on the road we had 3 flats between the two of us. Now there was only one tube for the both of us. 3 hours later we were in Pecos and finally had a DQ to get a blizzard! It's been a while since we've seen a big town, they even had a walmart. Now I don't particularly like Wally World, but what do you think they had? Tubes!!! Presta valve AND the right size (thank you to the Grant family for the gift cards). We finished the day in a town that only has a post office called Orla. 5:08:00 , 90 miles, 14.6 mph avg. Tomorrow we cross into NM!!
